The golden hill
Collis Aureus - Morris ‘n Frank is a wine made from grapes harvested in a small, sun-drenched vineyard located atop a hill in the heart of the Asolo Prosecco DOCG appellation, on the foothills of the Alps, in the Veneto Region. A veritable garden on sedimentary soil in the Monfumo area (considered the "Grand Cru" of the Asolo hills), the soil originated as marine deposits and subsequently emerged, following tectonic movements, and is composed primarily of sandstone and limestone.
The vines are relatively young, about seven years old and the grapes are predominantly Glera with the recent addition of a new plant of Bianchetta Trevigiana, a native grape variety that thrives in this area and lends freshness to the wine.
The cultivation is carried out without synthetic chemical treatments, using only copper and organic preparations. The grapes are harvested by hand in crates.
